Download your nationality resolution as a PDF with the CSV

Get the original PDF of your nationality resolution, signed by the Ministry of Justice, with the CSV code. It is the document you need for the oath appointment.

On this page

Your nationality has been granted and the oath (jura) is next. To book the appointment at the Civil Registry you will be asked for the original resolution: the PDF electronically signed by the Ministry of Justice, not a screenshot or the copy you see in "Cómo va lo mío". Here is how to download it in five minutes with the Secure Verification Code (CSV).

Video (in Spanish): how to get the nationality resolution as an electronically signed PDF with the CSV

What you need before you start

  • Your nationality resolution, in any format: the notification you received, the copy downloaded from "Cómo va lo mío" or even a readable photo.
  • The CSV printed on that resolution (we tell you where to look below).
  • A computer or phone with internet. No digital certificate or Cl@ve needed: the CSV already identifies the document.

Where the CSV is on your resolution

The Secure Verification Code (Código Seguro de Verificación) is a long string of letters and numbers that the Administration prints on every document it signs electronically. On the nationality resolution it is usually in the side margin or the footer of each page, next to a text like "Código Seguro de Verificación" or "CSV" and the address of the portal where it can be checked.

Copy it carefully: tell the letter O from the number 0, and the lowercase l from the 1. If you only have it on paper, type it rather than dictating it.

Step by step: download the signed PDF

  1. Open the document verification form of the Ministry of Justice electronic office.
  2. Type the CSV in the form field, exactly as it appears on your resolution.
  3. Press the button to verify the document. If the site asks you to confirm you are not a robot, complete that check.
  4. The site finds the signed document and offers to download it. Save the PDF on your device.
  5. Open it and check it is your resolution: your name, the file number and the resolution date must match.

Check that the PDF is the right one

  • The PDF downloaded from the portal carries the Ministry's electronic signature: in a reader such as Adobe Acrobat you will see the signatures panel, and the same CSV appears on the document.
  • Do not print and scan it: you would lose the signature. What counts is the file exactly as you downloaded it.
  • Keep it somewhere safe (email, cloud) and send that same file when the Civil Registry asks for it.

If something goes wrong

  • "Document not found": almost always a mistyped character. Type the CSV again, letter by letter.
  • You cannot find the CSV on your copy: download the notification again from the service where you received it; screenshots sometimes crop the margin where it is printed.
  • The portal does not respond: usually temporary. Try later or from another browser.

Next step: book your oath appointment

With the signed PDF you have the document that many Civil Registries require for the nationality oath or promise appointment. If you cannot find a slot, search for your appointment with SacaCitas: we find it for you.
